Propose a Classical:NEXT Showcase to our independent jury of experts, who will select the soloists and ensembles to play in front of an audience of international music professionals.

Why Should I Propose A Showcase?

In 2019, 1,300 delegates attended Classical:NEXT, among them 240 festival and concert promoters, more than 100 orchestra representatives and 100 international journalists, as well as numerous labels, publishers and more. A live showcase is the ideal vehicle to grab their attention, not only via the showcase concert itself, but also through Classical:NEXT publicity and various communication channels that include the website, event app, press release and newsletters to the community, social media and the online database C:N NET.

Who Can Make a Proposal

Classical:NEXT Showcases focus on new approaches to early, classical, contemporary and indie-classical music in all its variety. These can include influences of non-classical or non-western sounds, new and exciting forms of audience interaction, innovative ways to perform traditional repertoire and fresh approaches in contemporary classical work. Propose and show the jury what the 'NEXT' in Classical:NEXT can be!

How to Apply – Tips

  • We need to hear/see what you do! Please make sure your submitted material matches the exact programme that you wish to perform, should your showcase be chosen by the jury. This should be in both text and mp3 form.
  • Put yourself in the jury’s shoes – they review hundreds of proposals so make their job easy! Get their attention immediately and show them how you fulfil the criteria.
  • Excellent presentation material is a huge plus:
    • A well-made, very short introduction video is the ideal method. Invest in this, it is worth it!
    • Outstanding, high-quality photographs – tell your unique story with professional photos!
    • Keep written material short, effective and convincing. Give quotes first, but keep name-dropping to a minimum – again, tell us your unique story!
